WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
We have become an environmentally friendly Salon.
As an industry (as with many) there is a lot of waste which goes into landfill. We as a team have become more & more concerned about the impact our waste is contributing to the planet.
Having to pause our business over the spring/summer gave us time to reflect and look for ways our salon could stop this unwanted waste, we found Green Salon Collective.
We now collect all the foil from colouring, all the hair that we cut, plus all the PPE (gloves & used masks) this all gets collected from us to be used in other ways:
THE HAIR is used to stop the spread of oils in the sea by creating Hair booms & Hair Mats.
COMPOSTING: Hair can also be used by farmers for composting.
THE FOIL: Can all be recycled to make other items, plus 100% of any profits raised from metal recycling go to charity.
